How Block Paint Was Born

It was January 2nd, 2020. The genesis block from bitcoin blockchain was mined by Satoshi Nakamoto on January 3rd, 2009 so in the next day bitcoin will have 11 years old. Didn’t remember that until Vitus from Team Satoshi posted this:

Hmm 🤔🤔🤔 maybe I should do something. As I suck at running I thought maybe I could do some web social/artistic experiment.

Thinking about something I could do in only one day I ended up with this wireframe:

The idea was to let anybody to draw the mining block until is mined. Then the drawing cannot be changed. All synced up with the real bitcoin blockchain.

After a marathonic session of web development on January 3rd 2020 I ended up with Block Paint:
